HASSAN: Seven writers, who contributed to the field of Jainism, its literature, culture and art will be given "Sri Gommateswara Vidya Peetha Prashasti" at a function in Shravanabelagola on March 31 on the occasion of Mahaveera Jayanti. The award would include a citation, certificate and cash of Rs. 21,000. Under literature, K. Neminath, Kaushalya Dharanendraiah both from Bangalore, Bhagchand Jain "Bhaskar" from Nagpur, Shantinatha Dibbad and Nallur Prasad from Channaraypatna in Hassan have been selected for the award. Under Samskrutika, Ramya Suraj of Bangalore, N. Snehasri from Mysore will get late A.R. Nagaraj Award for Maha Kavi Ratnakara Varni Kavya Prasara.
