Water, the best heat buster

BANGALORE: The summer heat can really leave you frazzled and with tempers on the edge. Most often than not you may curse yourself for forgetting that precious bottle of water at home while you drive around the city feeling there were thorns in your parched throat.

Well, bottled water notwithstanding, there are a few locals who have come up with a clever idea. If you are driving on the Intermediate Ring Road between Koramangala and Indiranagar, you will be glad to see vendors selling water in big plastic pots on pushcarts. There are at least four such pushcarts on the road giving stiff competition to watermelon and papaya sellers. Move over fizzy and saccharine sweet beverages...after all what's more soothing than a plain glass of water?
