Varsity to organise job fair

Staff Reporter

Nearly 2,000 jobs will be on offer at `Career Fair-2007'

CHENNAI: The University of Madras will organise a job fair on March 31 and April 1 on its Chepauk campus.

"Nearly 2,000 jobs will be on offer at `Career Fair-2007' ... we expect around 50,000 candidates to visit," Madras University Vice-Chancellor S. Ramachandran told presspersons here on Tuesday.

Twenty companies would participate in the fair and make a wide range of offers to arts and science graduates and postgraduates seeking jobs.

Besides those for fresh graduates, the fair would have job offers for those with experience.

Candidates could either register online or walk in, according to representatives of Riddhi Consulting, which is organising the fair.

Freshers could send their resumes to resumes.careerfair07@gmail.com, while those with experience could mail them to exp.careerfair07@gmail.com.
