Indian team to arrive today

Chennai: BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said the Indian cricket team would arrive in India from the West Indies on Wednesday.

"Some of the players would arrive in Mumbai, some others in Delhi," he said.

Mr. Shah told The Hindu that he was "yet to recover from the shock" of the Indian debacle in the Caribbean.

He said the youngsters were likely to receive a look-in during the coming season.

"This is becoming a young man's game, especially in one-day cricket."

Mr. Shah added the youngsters should be given a fair run. "They should not be dropped if they fail in a couple of matches. The selectors should persist with the young talent they have faith in." — Special Correspondent
