2 police officers promoted as DGPs

CHENNAI: Two Additional Directors-General of Police (ADGP) were on Tuesday promoted as Directors-General of Police (DGP) by the State Government in a reshuffle of officers in the rank of ADGP and Inspector-General.

On promotion, K. Natarajan, hitherto ADGP, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), Chennai, was posted as DGP, Vigilance, TNEB.

P. Rajendran, ADGP, Administration, Chennai, was promoted and posted as DGP/Chairman, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai.

K. Ramanujam, hitherto ADGP, Training, Chennai, succeeded Mr. Rajendran. He would also continue to be the Member-Secretary of the Third Police Commission.

On transfer from the Prison Department, V. Balachandran would take over as ADGP, Training.

R. Sekar, Inspector-General, Crime, SIT, Chennai, would now head the Prison Department. Braj Kishore Ravi, Deputy Inspector-General, was posted to the Social Justice and Human Rights wing, Chennai.
