BELLARY: The second year pre-university examination will be held in nearly 20 centres in Bellary district. The exams will commence on March 29 and end on April 16. Bellary city has the most number of centres (seven), followed by Hospet (three), one each in Sirguppa, T.B. Dam, SMIORE college, Kampli, Hagari Bommanahalli, Hadagali, Kottur, Kanamadugu, Kudligi and Sandur towns. In order to prevent malpractices, a four-member vigilance squad, comprising has been formed for each centre. The services of private detectives has also been sought, Deputy Director of Pre-University education, has said. Action would be taken against personnel if a student was found indulging in malpractices, he said. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Arvind Srivastav has clamped prohibitory orders around 200-metre radius of all the 20 centres.
