AU to hold global seminar

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Centre for SAARC Studies, Andhra University, will hold an international seminar on `envisioning a new South Asia' from Thursday to Saturday.

The main focus of the seminar is to probe into various mechanisms to be adopted to make the South Asian region free from conflicts and enhance economic cooperation amongst the States thereby improving the welfare of people.

Several VVIPs, including Sumith Nakandala, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal, I.P. Khsola, former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, K.C. Reddy, Chairman, AP State Council of Higher Education and L. Venugopal Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University will attend.
