Margao : Substitute Mohd Rafi's scored a late goal to help Mahindra United snatch victory over Dempo and move to the top of the table in the 11th ONGC National Football League at Nehru Stadium here on Tuesday. Mahindra, which was pushed to the wall for major part of the match scored the winner in the 70th minute. Coach Derrick Pereira substitution proved to be the master stroke as Mohammed Rafi scored the winner, when he shot home a goalmouth cross by Mbaka Dady which Mensah Andrew failed to connect. The win took Mahindra United at the top of the table with 21 points from 10 matches, displacing Dempo which is second with 20 points from as many matches. Dempo defender Samir Naik was declared the Man of the match. — PTI
