BERHAMPUR: Cycle thieves have become a major problem at Berhampur court premises. In the past one week five cycle thefts have come to the notice. Ironically two of these cycles were owned by peons of the court, while the owners of other three happen to be junior lawyers, who have just entered into legal practice. According to the secretary of the Berhampur Bar Association, Manoj Patnaik more number of cycle thefts may be occurring in the area which go unreported. "Usually people do not prefer to report cycle thefts at police stations as they do not have the documents proving its ownership with them," he said. All cycles were stolen from the cycle stand of the court, where they were kept locked. There are no guards at this cycle stand.
