APNA condemns attack on Siasat Editor

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Newspapers Association (APNA) met here on Tuesday and condemned the attack on Siasat Editor Zahid Ali Khan.

APNA, in a statement, said that it had noted the decaying social trends and the way people's confidence in law enforcing agencies was declining. APNA appealed to the Government to take immediate and stern action against those responsible for the attack so that freedom of the press was not jeopardised.

The APNA said that though it was a week since the untoward incident happened, no action had been taken so far.

The Government should take special interest in the matter and bring the culprits to book.
