SRINAGAR: With no clear response from the Centre after Wednesday's Congress core group meeting on the issue of troop withdrawal from civilian areas in Jammu and Kashmir, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) postponed its political affairs committee (PAC) meeting to March 31. It was initially scheduled for Thursday. The former Chief Minister and PDP patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who held two rounds of talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi, was asked to wait for two more days. Subsequently, the PAC meeting was postponed. Mr. Sayeed too would be returning to Srinagar only on Saturday.
