New portal for ryots soon

Platform for farmers to get in touch with scientists on crop issues

HYDERABAD: Continuing its efforts to educate farmers, the Agriculture Department has decided to launch an interactive portal offering a platform for farmers to get in touch with scientists and officials on crop-related issues besides understanding the market trends.

To be launched by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy shortly, the new portal `e-vyavasayam' will offer a variety of services including information about crops, weather, availability of groundwater, fertilisers and pesticides.
