NALGONDA: Two brothers were allegedly murdered by their rivals while they were returning home after attending a court hearing at Kanchanapalli village on the outskirts of Nalgonda on Wednesday. Town Inspector R.Vijay Paul said that a group of people from Cholledu in Munugode mandal waylaid and axed the siblings -- Vanam Narasimha (40) and Yadaiah (27) -- to death following a land dispute in their village. While the duo were killed on the spot, five of their friends fled to safety. They were returning to their village in an autorickshaw after attending a court case. The CI said that Yadaiah attacked a man with an axe during a village panchayat over a land dispute leading to a scuffle on February 12 and subsequently he was arrested along with six others and released on bail on March 15. "The person, who was attacked by Yadaiah and his relatives are involved in the murder. They fled the scene by a jeep after killing the duo," the CI said adding that a hunt is on to nab them. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar visited the village. A police picket was posted at the village to maintain law and order, Mr. Vijay Paul said.
