NEW DELHI: "Women form the base of society. In a country like India much needs to be done to address issues relating to women and their health. It is imperative to provide adequate medical care and support to women across ages and occupations," said Renuka Chowdhury, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, at the launch of Fortis La Femme, a multi-specialty healthcare facility for women, here on Wednesday.

Also present were Shivinder Mohan Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Fortis Healthcare Limited, and Varun Talwar, Director of Sunrise Medicare.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Singh said: "This is our endeavour to provide dedicated and enriched care to women."
