Student killed in accident

CHENNAI : A college student, who was injured in a road accident on Wednesday morning, died in the Government General Hospital. Police said B. Kumar of Tadamkuppam was riding his two-wheeler with his friend R. Kartik on pillion, without helmets, at around 2 a.m. When they were proceeding towards Villivakkam, the vehicle dashed against a pavement near Nelson Manickam Road-EVR Salai junction. Both of them suffered serious head injuries.

While Kartik died at around 4 a.m., the condition of Kumar continued to be critical, police added.
