Sreenivasa Sastry seeks bail

BANGALORE:
The prime accused in the Viniv Inc fraud, in which thousands of depositors lost crores of rupees deposited with the chit fund firm, on Wednesday moved the Karnataka High Court for bail.
Sreenivasa Shastry, the prime accused, and another person, filed the petition, which is scheduled to come up for hearing on Thursday before Justice Mohan Shantangouder.

A Division Bench comprising Justice K. Sreedhar Rao andJustice Kumaraswamy took to task the Investigation Officer (IO) of a murder case in N.R. Pura police station and directed the registration of a criminal case against him.
The Bench found that the IO had not taken the statements of all the accused.
