BANGALORE: The cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of B.H.S College here who had gone on a motorcycle expedition to Wagah Border are back after a 30-day journey covering 5,375 km through 10 States. A team of 11 cadets 10 boys and one girl was accompanied by three server personnel with five motorcycles and one back up vehicle which was led by Lt. Shamala R., who is a journalism lecturer from the same college. The expedition started from Bangalore on February 26 and the team visited places such as Belgaum, Pune, Bhopal, Jaipur, Ambala, Amritsar, Mandi, Shimla, Dehradun, Nainital and Delhi. The team reached the city on Tuesday. The team of Road Trek 2007, created awareness about various topics such as AIDS, road safety, importance of solar energy through distribution of leaflets, personal interaction and street plays. watched the daily drill on the Wagah Border. "The drill by the BSF personnel makes every youth in our country proud. It was a privilege to watch it, the flag down ceremony was great," said Sunil, one of the team members.
