Funds for first four months

Puducherry: The Territorial Assembly has sanctioned Rs.848.42 crore on Thursday for the first four months (April, May, June and July) of the new fiscal (2007-2008) with Chief Minister N. Rangasamy tabling a motion. The sanction will enable the Government to meet the expenditures through a Vote on Account for the year 2007-2008. The House also passed earlier the Appropriation Bill 2007 by a voice vote.
