Kumble to announce ODI retirement today

Bangalore: Anil Kumble will formally announce his retirement from one-day internationals here on Friday evening.

India's leading wicket-taker in both forms of the game had hinted about his probable retirement from one dayers prior to his departure to the West Indies for the World Cup.

He had then said that the premier tournament would be his last outing in one-dayers and that he would leave the game's shorter version in a bid to prolong his Test career. — Principal Correspondent
