BANGALORE: Two youngsters have skated 425 km to register their protest against the Cauvery tribunal verdict and to demand irrigation projects in North Karnataka.

Anand Anavekar and Suresh Sindhe, members of Hubli Roller Skating Club, started skating from Hubli on March 25 and reached here via Haveri, Davangere, Hiriyur and Nelamangala. After four days of skating, they reached Bangalore on Thursday.

All along the route, they spoke to people about the injustice meted out to Karnataka by the Cauvery verdict. They told people that they should be united in the fight against the verdict.

On reaching here, they addressed a press conference and said people were hurt by the verdict. The State Government should make attempts to ensure justice for Karnataka, they added.
