"We'll go by order"

Kolkata: Two premier educational institutions in West Bengal, IIM-Kolkata and IIT-Kharagpur, on Thursday said they would go by the directive of the Centre on the issue of 27 per cent reservation for other backward classes (OBC).

IIT Kharagpur Director S.K. Dubey told PTI that the institute would go strictly by the order of the government in this regard and that he came to know of the apex court's stay on the law providing for 27 per cent OBC reservation in central elite educational institutions through the media.

Prepared

"We have existing orders from the Centre for implementing 27 per cent reservation and we are fully prepared to implement the same," Mr. Dubey said, adding that, "if the Centre now gives another order in the wake of the court's order then we will abide by that." — PTI
