JNU students plan protest

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Calling the Supreme Court's stay on the implementation of the law giving 27 per cent reservation to the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in elite institutions as an "anti-people verdict", the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) said the apex court has given credence to "extremely elitist and casteist propaganda."

The JNUSU has planned a series of protest marches against the order. Besides holding a march on the campus on Thursday night, the JNUSU will also organise a demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Friday.
