News Analysis
In a report "Making one computer work as hard as four" ("IT Trends Science & Technology" page, March 29, 2007), the fifth paragraph was "Since then the Intel quad family has swelled to 11 processors, the latest low voltage Xeons unveiled in mid-March, require just 12.5 watts of power for each core or less than 50 cores per chip compared to 80 and 120 watts of earlier versions." It should have been 50 watts per chip. It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible. Please specify the edition (place of publication), date and page.
