BANGALORE: In view of the bandh called in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, South Western Railway has cancelled eight and partially cancelled/rescheduled nine trains, according to a press release issued here on Friday. The trains that have been cancelled are No 2007/2008 Chennai Central-Mysore Shatabdi Express, No 2026/2027 Bangalore-Chennai Central Shatabdi Express, No 2677/2678 Bangalore-Coimbatore Express, No 2639/2640 Chennai Central- Bangalore Brindavan Express, No 2608/2607 Bangalore-Chennai Central Lalbagh Express, No 2610/2609 Bangalore-Chennai Central Express, No 572/571 Bangalore-Salem Passenger and No 573/574 Salem-Yeshwantapur-Salem passenger.
Partially cancelled
While Train No 6221 Mysore-Chennai Central Kaveri Express will be terminated at Arakkonam, Train No 6732 Mysore-Tuticorin Express will run only up to Dindigul. Train No 6232 Mysore-Mayiladuthurai Express will run only till Kumbakonam.
KSRTC buses
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided not to operate buses to Tamil Nadu in view of the bandh there on Saturday. KSRTC officials said the situation would be reviewed in the evening. However, flight services to Chennai would not be affected.
