Good show by India

Rishon Letzion (Israel): A six-member Indian team, led by Arjuna Awardee Ramesh Tikaram, put up an impressive show by winning seven medals, including two golds, at the Israel Open badminton championship for the physically challenged.

Amarendra Behera from Orissa won gold in both the singles and doubles event. The International event, seen as a build up for the forthcoming World Championship in October-November in Bangkok, attracted participants from nine countries. — PTI
