Mathura: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said "desperate" Opposition parties, especially Congress, were trying to "dislodge" him from political scene to "eliminate" Samajwadi Party. "Having failed to dislodge me from power, opposition parties, especially Congress are trying to implicate me in false financial cases in order to ensure end of my party in my absence without knowing that hundreds of Mulayam Singhs would appear after me," he said at an election meeting here. He highlighted the achievements of his party during his tenure and promised free education up to M.A., employment to all or unemployment allowance several times than they are getting now and fulfilling earlier promises regarding reservation to Kori, Saini and Yadavs if the party is voted to power again. Meanwhile, in Kalpi, SP general secretary Amar Singh exhorted the electorate to vote for his party "to ensure the development of the State as all the other parties are more interested in their narrow political gains".
