NEW DELHI: Deposing in the Nitish Katara murder case before a court here on Friday, Bhawna, daughter of former Member of Parliament D. P. Yadav, submitted photographs of her sister Bharti with some other friends to claim that her sister did not share any special relationship with Nitish Katara as alleged by the prosecution. Appearing in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur, Bhawna also identified the persons shown in the photographs as Bharat Diwakar, Nitish, Shivani Gaur and Gaurav Gupta. To a query by the prosecution about how all the photographs were in "close postures" with Bharti, Bhawna said they were all close friends. The photographs were not exposed to the media at her request. However, the prosecution questioned the authenticity of the photographs as the person who clicked those photographs and the persons shown in them were not present in the court. Vikas Yadav and his cousin Vishal Yadav are accused of kidnapping and killing Nitish on February 16, 2002, as they did not like his relationship with Bharti.
