Cellphones: BSNL extends grace period

VISAKHAPATNAM : BSNL has extended the grace period of its pre-paid cellphone connections due to non-availability of recharge and top-up coupons.

The validity of old recharge coupons would remain, balance of the amount would remain unchanged and the services would not be disconnected till the problem was solved, according to a press release from the office of general manager of BSNL here on Friday.

The recharge and top-up coupons could not be supplied due technical problems in the equipment at Coimbatore and the problem was being attended to with top priority, the press release added.
