Power shutdown

There will be no power supply on April 1 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Chokkasandra, Vidyanagar, Maruthi Layout, Rukmininagar. According to a Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. press release, this has been done to facilitate carrying out the maintenance works of F-2 feeder of Widia MUSS.

Water Adalat

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board will conduct Water Adalat of South-1 and South-2 sub division at the respective sub-divisional offices on April 2 between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. While customers coming under Devagiri and Kathriguppa service station can take part in the adalat of South-1 sub division, those from Banashankari, Kumaraswamy Layout and Poorna Pragna layout service station limits can take part in the adalat of South-2 sub division.

Interruption

Services of about 1,000 telephone connections in SJP Road, S.P. Road, MRR Lane, Kumbarpet, Godown Street and Rajipet were interrupted due to a fire accident. The services are likely to be restored on Saturday, according to a Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. press release.

`Parisara Dasara'

To promote and create awareness about greenery, health, development and cleanliness, Nivarana, in association with Zee Kannada, has organised "Parisara Dasara", a mega cultural event at the National College grounds on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. Nivarana president K. Chandrashekar said the event includes performances by top artistes, including S.P. Balasubramaniam, music director Hamsalekha, Malgudi Shubha, Chitra, C. Aswath, Sangeetha Katti and Hemanth. Adichunchunagiri Math seer Balagangadharnath Swamy will be honoured with "Seva Surya" award in recognition of his contribution to society, he added.

KSOU programmes

Contact Programmes for students of Karnataka State Open University 2006-07 will be held at the following places: from March 31 to April 4, the programme will be held at V.V. Hotels sealed

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) health officials on Wednesday sealed four hotels and slapped notices on three others in Chamarajpet for not maintaining hygiene. A penalty of Rs. 5,000 has been slapped on each of these hotels, stated a press release.
