GUNTUR: Students need to focus on various aspects related to academics and student career as a whole to shun negative attitude in everything so that they inculcate positive approach in every aspect of life, said Psychoanalyst B.V. Pattabhiram. Delivering a lecture on `A blueprint for success in the college' at Sri Mittapalli College of Engineering, Mr. Pattabhiram focusing on personality development of students said they should shun all negative attitudes that distract them from studies and a positive approach creates a wholesome personality. A day-long lecture-cum-workshop on the college premises at Tummalapalem, for both students and faculty, he said the relationship between the two had to be cordial and unless positive attitude was there from both sides the studies would not move in the desired direction. Advising the faculty to continuously update their knowledge levels in their domain would improve their self-confidence while teaching and help them adopt innovative methods to drive home lessons. A peaceful home front allows a teacher to have cordial relation with students also improving the effectiveness of lessons taught. College principal B. Kanaka Raju welcomed the gathering and advised students and faculty to listen carefully to Mr. Pattabhiram and try to assimilate at least a few aspects. The CSE and IT Department Head Shaheda Akhtar proposed vote of thanks.
