BANGALORE: Angry passengers smashed the glass panes of the Air Deccan counter at the Bangalore airport in the early hours of Saturday after missing their flight because the airline reportedly did not issue boarding passes to them on time. Fifteen passengers who were to travel to Mumbai by the flight, scheduled to take off at 5.50 a.m., could not make the journey because they did not get their boarding passes. After heated arguments with airline staff, some passengers smashed the glass panes of the airline's counter 2. As tension mounted, police officials rushed to the spot and pacified the passengers.
