Easy victory for BNR

KOLKATA : BNR Recreation Club beat Kolkata Port Trust (KPT) 3-0 in a preliminary stage match of the 112th all-India Beighton Cup hockey here on Saturday.

BNR led by Leonardo Dilung's solitary goal in the first session. Bijoy Topno and Bipin Ekka struck in the second session for the winner.

In another match, Calcutta Customs beat Muslim Institute 2-0. Javed Mansur and A.D.E. Ahmed struck successively for the customs team. — Principal Correspondent
