Committee to look into freedom fighters' problems

It will give suggestions for expeditious redressal off issues

NEW DELHI: To mark the 100th year of the Satyagraha, the Centre has constituted a Committee of eminent freedom fighters under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Home Affairs Manik Rao Gavit to look into issues related to freedom fighters.

According to the notification of the Ministry, the Committee will look into general problems and grievances of freedom fighters and give suggestions for their expeditious redressal.

It would also review the facilities available to them and their eligible dependents and give suggestions for their improvement, the notification said. Besides, it would consider any other issues related to freedom fighters and their eligible dependents.
