Water tax payment date extended

CHENNAI: The due date for payment of water tax and charges for the second half year of 2006-07 has been extended to April 2 by Chennai Metrowater in view of government holiday on Saturday. Cash counters in area offices and head office will work on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday between 10 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.

Contact classes

Personal contact programme classes for various courses of the Institute of Distance Education, the University of Madras, which were scheduled for Saturday, will be held on Sunday at all centres.

Osteo-arthritis camp

The PNR Society for Relief and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Gujarat is organising a three-day osteo-arthritis camp from Friday at Mahaveer Bhavan, 77 Pillaiyar Koil Street, Triplicane. Booklet on children

Aspire SuperKidz has published a free booklet, `Every Baby is Born a Genius,' for parents of children aged up to fo ur years. It talks about a newborn's brain development, the potential she is born with and discusses some of the myths and realities of early childhood learning.
