Bid to loot bank at Nidumolu

VIJAYAWADA : A futile attempt was made to rob the Nidumolu branch of the Andhra Bank on Friday night. The Kuchipudi police said the attempt might have been made some time after midnight and two persons might have been involved in the offence. After breaking open the shutter, the miscreants entered the bank and broke open a safe, where they found nothing but accessories of a computer.

Driver ends life?

A lorry driver died under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Krishnalanka on Saturday. The police identified the victim as Venkanna (35). The body of Venkanna was found hanging from the ceiling of his house by his neighbours.The police suspected that domestic problems might have forced Venkanna to end his life.
