Third-party check mandatory for State schemes

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The State Government will henceforth make third-party monitoring mandatory for all works. This is already being implemented in respect of irrigation projects and the same will be extended to Indiramma and other State-sponsored schemes.

The third-party monitoring will be entrusted to colleges, universities, research centres, social organisations and NGOs, Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said in a press release. He asked officials on Sunday to ensure that every paisa allotted to any scheme was efficiently used.

Dr. Reddy reviewed the implementation of various Government programmes and discussed the steps to be taken in the new financial year. He said that welfare was a priority of his Government.
