Three arrested in robbery case
The incident took place when Puneet Verma was on his way home after closing his shop at Shaheen Bagh. Four young men overpowered him and snatched from him the key of his shop. One of the assailants kept Puneet confined while the others collected the ornaments, following which the culprits vanished with the booty. A team led by Inspector Rajender Singh zeroed in on the suspects and acting on a tip-off that some of them would come to the Capital on Sunday in a canter laid a trap. The police intercepted the vehicle at which the occupants opened fire. Nevertheless, the police overpowered the three accused. They were identified as Hassu, Shamshad and Dilshad.
