New Delhi : Ahead of the crucial BCCI meeting that will decide on his future with the Indian team, coach Greg Chappell, on Monday, said that ``some people'' in the cricket establishment wanted to tarnish his image and ruled out his resignation. Stating that his future was in the hands of BCCI whose Working Committee meeting in Mumbai on April 6 and 7 to review India's debacle in the World Cup, Chappell was quoted by TV channels as saying that there was no question of his resignation since his contract was only till the end of the World Cup. Disclosing that he had finalised his report to the Board, the former Australian batsman said he had not blamed any individual for India's failure to qualify for the Super Eights.
Attitude problems
Chappell said that ``some people in BCCI'' want to tarnish his image. He, however, did not name any one or elaborate. Chappell also denied having had any communication with the BCCI in connection with the attitude of senior players. A media report had claimed that five senior players had not shown respect to the team management and had attitude problems. He said he would submit his report to the BCCI on April 6 and await the decision of the Board on his future. PTI
