Special Correspondent

MARK OF HONOUR: Former sub-inspector A.D. Shivamurthy taking the salute during a march past held as part of Police Flag Day, in Shimoga on Monday.

SHIMOGA: The Police department should adopt sophisticated methods of investigation to track down those showing amazing intelligence in committing crimes, zilla panchayat Chief Executive Officer P. Bore Gowda has said.

He was presiding over a function organised on the occasion of the Police Flag Day at District Armed Reserve Grounds here on Monday.

There was need for police personnel to remain calm and composed as they were required to work under more tension and mental pressure than those of the other departments. He suggested that computer training be imparted to them right from the constabulary level.
