Speaker constitutes chairmen's panel

NEW DELHI: Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh has constituted the panel of chairmen for smooth functioning of the House for 2007-08.

The new panellists are MLAs Jai Kishan, S.P. Ratawal, Anjali Rai, Rajesh Jain and Anil Bhardwaj. These members will assist the Speaker in conducting the business of the House.

Piano concert

NEW DELHI: Ireland-based Indian pianist Utsav Lal will present a live concert at India Habitat Centre here on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old pianist will present "Raj Kapoor nostalgia on piano reeds" that will feature popular songs of the legendary star.

Utsav has given over 45 concerts across the country and abroad. Besides presenting a concert at Nehru Centre in London in February this year, he also performed at Airfield Arts Centre in Dublin recently.

Jamia workshop

NEW DELHI: The Faculty of Law at Jamia Millia Islamia is organising a two-day seminar and workshop on "Right to Information Act: Application and Difficulties" on Tuesday at Edward Said Hall on the campus.

The event is aimed at creating awareness among the University fraternity about Right to Information and how the Act can best be utilised by them.

Kashmiri food festival

NEW DELHI: Students of the Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Associations of India (FHRAI) Institute of Hospitality Management hosted a Kashmiri food festival, "Kong Posh", on their campus in neighbouring Greater Noida this past week.

The main purpose of organising the event was to give students exposure to regional cuisine that is an integral part of the hotel management course.
