dated April 4, 1957: B.C. Roy re-elected

Dr. B.C. Roy was unanimously re-elected leader of the West Bengal Congress Legislature Party at its meeting in Calcutta on April 2. Dr. Roy's name for leadership was proposed by Mr. P.C. Sen, State's Food Minister, and seconded by Mr. Fazlur Rahman. Dr. Roy has been the State Chief Minister since 1948.
