Corrections and Clarifications

The first paragraph in a report "Riyadh plan is the focus of summit" ("International" page, March 29, 2007) was: "Buoyed by its role in the formation of a Palestinian national unity government, Saudi Arabia is set to gain the support of Arab countries on a West Asia peace plan that it first unveiled four years ago." It should have been five years ago. The West Asia peace plan, or the Beirut declaration, was unveiled on March 28, 2002.

The heading of a report was "Dog menace: Ambedabad team to arrive in city [to take up animal birth control programme]" (Bangalore city edition, March 23, 2007, page 5). Ambedabad should have been Ahmedabad.

A sentence in a report "Woolmer was an excellent coach: Inzamam" ("Sport", April 2, 2007) was: "Inzamam admitted that the players were in mood to play the final group game against Zimbabwe after Woolmer's tragic death." It should have been "were in no mood".
