BANGALORE: The prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket, Abdul Kareem Telgi, who was on March 24 sentenced by a Special Court to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 7.25 lakh has decided to move the Karnataka High Court. Telgi along with Bhadrudddin, Irfan Ahmed, Wazir Ahmed Salik and Pradeep Kumar were found guilty by the Special Judge V.V. Angadi under 14 sections of the Indian Penal Code in the case registered at the Peenya police station in May 2003. Telgi's counsel M.T. Nanaiah said on Tuesday that he would file an appeal in the High Court seeking a stay of the Special Court order and calling for records.
