VISAKHAPATNAM: P. Sita Rama Raju scored a hat-trick as Waltair defeated Sambalpur 5-1 in the inaugural match of the third East Coast Railway inter-division football tournament at the Railway stadium here on Tuesday. After T. Srinivas opened the account in the 40th minute, Sita Rama Raju scored in the 60th, 65th and 80th minutes. D.S.N. Sastry completed the margin in the 85th minute. Rajender Rout reduced the margin for Sambalpur two minutes for close. — Special Correspondent
Indian team manager
G.V. Raviraju of Visakhapatnam, Joint secretary of the AP Amateur Boxing Association, has been appointed as manager of the Indian team participating in the King Cup meet in Bangkok. He is leaving for Bangkok on Tuesday night. The tournament will conclude on April 10.
