Challenger CC emerges champion

HYDERABAD: Challenger Cricket Club won the Concap Cup cricket tournament defeating Frindez Cricket Club by three wickets in the final at the Shashi Seth Stadium (Kapra) here.

Special prizes were given to Kalyan of Challenger CC (player of the final) and Raghuveer Acharya (player of the tournament).

The scores: Frindez Cricket Club XI 238 for nine in 30 overs (Sai Baba 63, Rajeshwar Rao 41, Raghuveer Acharya 43, Sridhar five for 43) lost to Challenger CC XI 239 for seven (Kalyan 52, Seshadree four for 22).

Barren encounter

AOC Centre and Andhra Pradesh Police were locked in a goalless draw in the `A' division Rahim League football championship at Goshamahal Stadium here.

Coaches' meeting

Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad has convened a meeting of the coaches on April 4 at 5.00 p.m. at Victory Playground in connection with the summer coaching camps.

State coaches, international and national players of different disciplines who have been deputed to monitor the camps have been requested to attend the meeting.

HCA's summer camp

Hyderabad Cricket Association will organise a summer coaching camp for different age groups — under-13 to 19 — from April 16 to May 12 at Gymkhana grounds.

The list of the players selected for the camp is available at the HCA Office.

The selected players are to report to the coaches at 6.30 a.m. on April 16. — Principal Correspondent
