BANGALORE: From April 19 to 22, the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium will be abuzz with an exhibition titled "The Furniture Show." The show, which will be spread over an area of about 30,000 sq.ft., feature American, European, German, Malaysian, Thai and Chinese furniture plus Indian, ethnic, carved, period, heritage and vintage furniture items, according to the organisers. Look out for furniture handcrafted with fine solid hardwood including teak, sheesham and acacia, and integrated with metals in classic shapes and forms. As for ethnic furniture, it could turn a city apartment into a mountainside escape. Besides, there would be waterproof outdoor furniture displays from Germany and Hong Kong. Also lined up for the event are silver sofas, ancient lamps from Morocco, lounge sofas, Malaysian bedroom sets, dining tables, consoles, chest of drawers, wardrobes, massage chairs, foot massagers and Italian kitchens. There will also be an array of furniture for the walls paintings, frames, murals and more. The other exhibits will include lazy bags, office chairs, customised wardrobes and Thai furniture for the entire house and office. The organiser Yatra Exhibits Private Limited says that visitors to the show could get to see furniture and furniture experts from around the globe. For those looking to remodel their home interiors and who have deep pockets, this show could be worth a visit. Even for window shoppers, it could be a place to get some creative ideas, ideas they could take home to recreate with cheaper materials.
