Telugu Desam activist hacked to death

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activist M. Adinarayana Reddy (55) was hacked to death in his fields near Pasuluru village of Pedda Pappuru mandal in the district in the wee hours of Tuesday. He had stayed back in the field in the night to guard his groundnut crop harvested on Monday.

According to the police, his body bore multiple injuries inflicted with hunting sickles. His brother M.C. Bayyapu Reddy is a former ZPTC member of TDP. The two families reportedly don't have any feud with others or political rivals. The bereaved family and the police are unable to fathom the reasons behind the murder. The two brothers had worked for party candidates in the last year's local bodies and sarpanch elections. He is survived by wife and four daughters.
