BIDAR: The Police Department has introduced many welfare measures for retired personnel, Superintendent of Police Ravi S. has said. He was speaking at the annual police Flag Day celebrations, here on Monday. He said that the department generated funds through the sale of police flags, which went towards the welfare of retired personnel. He urged senior police officers and retired personnel to continue to guide junior members of the force. He said, however, that it was not just the duty of the Government to look after the welfare of retired personnel, but society too had to be grateful to them for their long and dedicated service. Retired Deputy Superintendent of Police M.S. Jadhav was felicitated on the occasion. He narrated interesting anecdotes from his three-decade-long service. Assistant Superintendent of Police M.M. Daula was present.
