HASSAN: Police arrested Raju Shetty and two others - Raghu and Jayappa Shetty for the alleged murder of Annappa Shetty on Tuesday. The accused were produced before the Judicial Magistrate at Belur and were remanded in judicial custody. Speaking to The Hindu, Superintendent of Police Panduranga Rane said it was a police dog that led them to the sickle used to commit the crime. Mr. Rane said that on Monday, Raju Shetty with the help of his friends Raghu and Jayappa Shetty murdered his brother Annappa Shetty in Navilahalli village in Belur taluk for property. Shankaramma wife of Annappa Shetty lodged a complaint with the Belur police suspecting Raju Shetty behind this murder. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rudrappa, who stayed in the village on Monday, arrested the accused on Tuesday. Belur police have registered the case.
