Correspondent

MAHABUBNAGAR: In a bizarre incident Banne Yadaiah (45), resident of Vemulanarva of Keshampet mandal, was burnt alive on Monday night on the outskirts of the village.

According to Sub-Inspector Venkat Raju, a dispute on agriculture land between the families of victim and the accused, who are close relatives, had led to the crime.

At 11 p.m. Banne Srisailam, Banne Narsimulu, Banne Yadaiah and other relatives of Banne Yadaiah entered into an alteration.

There were heated exchanges and in a fit of rage, the rival group assaulted Banne Yadaiah with sticks and axe. They allegedly took him away to a nearby pond and burnt him alive, villagers said.
